We spend most of our waking hours wrapped up at work so it’s really important to find a job you really want and enjoy. At the moment that’s easier said than done for many people. To help in the search Jobs & Careers Slough is returning to the Montem Leisure Centre on Thursday 25 February 2010. Being sponsored by Slough Borough Council, this free event will have employers, training organisations and advice clinics to help Slough citizens get back to work or find a better job.
In 2009 Jobs & Careers Slough was a huge success with nearly 30 companies and over 1,500 visitors. In 2010 it will again host a range of organisations, offering help and guidance on how to make the best of your skills to get a job, start a new business or find the right training opportunity. Companies will also be there with live vacancies looking for local staff like you to start immediately.
The event brings together the best local businesses and expert advisers with residents giving them the chance to meet face-to-face in an informal atmosphere, find out what it would be like working for them and what they want and can offer. There is no need to be nervous; there won’t be any interviews, just a chance for jobseekers to meet recruiters from national and local businesses looking for staff.
Slough Borough Council will be hosting a special Seminar Theatre featuring free talks from experts on topics ranging from top interview tips to your employment rights.
